ICC Awards for Men’s Test Team of the Year

The ICC’s Men’s Test Team of the Year for 2022 consists of 11 players that had exceptional years in terms of their performance in either the batting or bowling areas or with their all-around abilities.

  • Ben Stokes, an all-rounder for England, has been chosen as the captain of the ICC Men’s Test Team of the Year.

ICC Men’s Associate Cricketer of the Year

This award was given to Gerhard Erasmus, who is from Namibia. 

  • His average is 56.23 in ODIs in 2022, with the total runs of 956 runs. 
  • In T20Is, he scored 306 runs at a rate of 38.25 runs per game. 
  • His deft spin bowling helped him take 12 wickets in ODI and 6 in T20. 

ICC Women’s Associate Cricketer of the Year

The prestigious award has been bestowed on Esha Oza of the UAE. 

  • She scored over 700 runs in 23 innings during the previous year. 
  • She was also an aggressive bowler, scooping up 15 wickets at an average of 15.4 per innings.

ICC Men’s T20I Cricketer of the Year

The previous year, Surya Kumar Yadav of India was in phenomenal form in the format, smashing 68 sixes during 2022. 

  • It is the highest by any player in a single year in the history of T20 Internationals. 
  • Overall, he secured 1164 runs at a very high average of 46.56 runs per game and a ridiculously high strike rate of 187.43.

ICC Women’s T20I Cricketer of the Year

Australia’s Tahlia McGrath won the ICC Women’s T20I Cricketer of the Year award just over a year into her T20I career. In 2022, she played 16 games, averaged 435 runs at 62.14, and claimed 13 wickets.

ICC Emerging Men’s Cricketer of the Year

Throughout an extraordinarily fruitful year for him, South African cricketer Marco Jansen was in blistering form with the ball and made significant contributions with the willow.

Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy for ICC Women’s Cricketer of the Year

Nat Sciver won the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy because of her great performance through 2022. She not only had a good ODI season, but she also had a spectacular Test season, hitting 242 runs at an average of 121.

Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy for ICC Men’s Cricketer of the Year

After an outstanding performance in 2022, Babar Azam was awarded the Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy. His performance in a variety of formats was incredible the previous year. In 2022, he had eight centuries and 15 half-centuries, which brought his total runs scored to almost 2500 with an average of 54.12.

ICC Spirit of Cricket Award

The ICC has honored Aasif Sheikh of Nepal with the Spirit of Cricket Award. Sheikh was recognized for the choice he made not to run out Andy McBrine when the Ireland player slipped while trying to run. This judgment earned Sheikh the award.
